Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until the requisition is closed.

At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We’re working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!

This role is part of the Blue Origin Engines business unit, where our focus is the design, development, manufacturing, and testing of engines and propulsion systems. Built for multiple uses, our family of engines is powering the next generation of rockets for commercial, civil, national security, and human spaceflight.

Join Blue Origin's Enginesteamas an Avionics Electrical Engineer designing critical propulsion electronics that enable rocket engine operations! As part of our Engine Hardware Products team, you'll develop analog and digital circuits that control engine ignition, monitoring, and safety systems for both our BE-4 engines powering New Glenn and next-generation propulsion systems.

Working within Blue Origin's specialized avionics hardware group, you'll collaborate with a small, agile team of engineers where your designs have direct impact on human spaceflight missions. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge propulsion technology while contributing to Blue Origin's vision of millions of people working and living in space. You'll be part of the Blue Engines organization, which develops the rocket engines that power Blue Origin's launch vehicles and supports our broader space infrastructure goals.

The position combines hands-on circuit design with systems-level thinking, offering exposure to the full product development lifecycle from initial concept through flight operations. You'll work closely with propulsion engineers, systems engineers, and manufacturing teams to deliver reliable, flight-ready electronics that meet the demanding requirements of rocket engine applications.

§ 02RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design analog and digital circuits for propulsion system electronics and control systems

  • Develop PCB layouts and work with manufacturing partners to build hardware assemblies

  • Test and debug electronic assemblies in lab environments and support flight testing

  • Collaborate with propulsion and systems engineers to define requirements and interfaces

  • Support hardware throughthe full productlifecycle from concept to production and flight operations

  • Participate in design reviews and contribute to technical documentation and analysis

  • Work with quality and manufacturing teams to ensure designs meet production requirements

§ 03MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
