This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable.We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and dedication to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. BS degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
2+ years of experience in the fields of aerothermal or thermodynamic analysis
Strong aerodynamic fundamentals and intuition through multiple fight regimes (subsonic, transonic, supersonic, hypersonic, free molecular flow)
Proven experience deriving space vehicle aerothermal environments
Proven experience with one or more aerothermal CFD modeling tools (LAURA, DPLR, FUN3D, US3D, etc.)
Experience with CFD pre and post processing (Pointwise, Link3D, Ensight, Tecplot, etc.)
Proven track record using scripting and programming languages for automation and data manipulation
MS or higher degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
Experience modeling rocket plume environments, both direct impingement and indirect heating
Proven experience using Link3D and US3D
Experience in Multiphysics simulations of hypersonic flows
Experience with tool development using MATLAB
Knowledge in the use of 3D CAD tools (CREO)
Compensation Range for:
